Prison Break

On Friday I got a number 1 haircut.

I have Never had my hair this short before lol :) Its pretty much non existent :) But I like it, its a completely different look..and strangely gals seem to like it ALOT.

Now why didn't anyone tell me this ages ago??

Awkwardness

There is no other way to describe last night.

There is a (very) young girl in my home group, and she normally is Extremely quiet. Recently though she has been snappish / cattish to the point of getting me actually angry (which is quite a feat).

This child sits next to me, and starts the conversation with 'I don't like you..in fact I hate you, you are just so..I dunno, you just Annoy me!'

To which my response was 'thats fine..if thats the way you feel, sit somewhere else'

Anyway this continued for the whole evening, until the very end of the evening when she did the whole 'Why don't you have a girlfriend thing..' (*silent screaming*)

Followed by the 'God told me you are meant to marry me..' (My response being, 'I'm sorry child, but he hasn't told me anything like that..') etc etc.

So all in all it was awkward.

The problem is not that whole situation though. The problem is that she told me sometime in the whole monologue that she was being raped by her foster father. Now thats something I can't just take lightly and keep to myself.

So I will need to raise the situation with our home group leader.

Knowing him he will take it up with the church, who will probably take it up with the family, and if there is any truth in it it will (I hope) come out.

Which will of course mean that this child's whole world could be completely destroyed, very fast.

And it has me so worried, cos I just don't know Which is the lesser evil??

Turned down :( sigh.

The offer to purchase was turned down by the seller.

So I have upped it. We shall see how things go.

Hey guys :)

I am not going to promise that this is a monumental return. Or anything remotely resembling monumental. This is purely an update to let you guys know whats been going on in this here life of mine. Well at least the important goings on :)

!!India!!
Two Sundays ago I was doing the sound for my church. Happy in the little sound booth. Safe from the possible attention of the Pastor (he has the habit of singling people out. Its lovely :) ). When he suddenly starts talking about the Leadership training time in India. Now he had told me about it before, and he did mention he thought I should go, but it was always just a passing thing. So on that sunday when he mentioned it, imagine my surprise when he said: 'Ok so It has been on my heart for a long time that Silver goes to the India LTT...I think its a God thing...so who wants to go with Silver??'

So to cut a long story short I am off to India. On the 24th of October. Eeeeee!!! :)

!!Hout Bay!!
There is a beautiful little town nestled in a valley about 20min from Cape town. Its gorgeous, picturesque, and I have spent Alot of time there of late. So much so that I find myself driving back at the worst possible times. Its a long windy drive and its really tiring at 12 at night. So I am putting an offer in for an apartment there. Wish me luck..I really hope it works out :)


Hmm, besides that all is well, still going strong with the gee tar, still pretending to rock climb every now and then.
